GTA IV was an awesome game, they completley remodelled Liberty City and it is now one of the coolest "virtual cities" ever made so far in a game.
Libery City was originally intended to be New York, and now, it practically is.

GTA V, in my opinion, should be a complete remodel of Vice City.
Vice City was also originally intended to be a replica of one of the major US cities: Miami, Florida.

I personally believe that GTA V should be the complete remake of Vice City into an awesome version of Miami, but better.

Here are some details I think should be added to the game:

- GTA V to be set place in Vice City, in recent times (2008-2010).
- New character: *Completley new person
* An old character of another GTA game.
- Vice City made much much bigger
- Nightlife and beach stuff added to the game
- Metro added to Vice City.

- Every GTA game something new and major and more realistic has come out, so I think an original element should be added to the game to make it even more realistic but not less fun.

if anyone else has any more idea's where the location should be, post them here.

They totally need to make GTA in a futuristic city, or a city on an alien planet.

Just imagine how much more interesting everything would be.

GTA 5 has been announced, and it will come out next year.

The setting and story have not been mentioned yet though, so it is all speculation until they are.

I've never played Vice City (My PC wasn't good enough when it came out, and now that it is good enough better games have come and gone) so I can't comment on how worthwhile a remake would be.

GTA:SA is still my favourite map to play on. So much variety.

whatever they do for the next gta game, they need to put their heads together and come up with something that feels genuine, gta 4 was all about multiplayer for me, as the game was essensialy gta3 (and any of the 3) with fancy graphics and less vehicles and fun, yes gta 4 looked amazing, but it was essencialy the same as every other gta 3 games gameplay wise.

i did not play the one player till lost and the damned came out, the single player on that was done brilliantly and felt original compared to the initial gta4 storyline, as it had new features and aspects that focused on making the single player game worth playing.

i could go on for hours on this topic, their are not alot of people that agree with me, but their is a few that do
.

edit: i agree with the reply that says san andreas was better, thats deffinite truth, gta 4 was a massive step backwards in gameplay, but a massive leap forward in graphics.

Gta V won't be around for a long time.

You'll have to put up with "The Ballad of Gay Tony" before another GTA game is made.

GtaIV is an awesome game that needed a little more to do in single player.

What happened to all the clothing stores and buyable houses? The car customization? etc etc.

Those elements were sorely missed by me in GTA IV. Made collecting money pointless because there was nothing but (readily accessible) guns to spend it on.

You so read my mind I would love to see a revamped Vice City on my xbox360 ! As for the story line I would like to know what happened to Tommy Vercetti and just why exactly Ken Rosenberg left town .

Cheers xpert11 .

Rockstar should totally remake Vice City this is what I would like to see in the new version:

1.Buildings and structures that actually take real damage
2.Make use of large commerical ships, trains and construction equipment
3.Wider variety of aircraft not just helicopters
4.More weapons and I mean weapons that cause a lot of damage (GTA SA has the right idea)
5.Bring back parachutes
6.Map editing or rebuilding options (this might be a better idea for multiplayer mode)
7.The army is called in when you have reached a six star wanted level (I'm little bored with that mock up of the DHS showing up all the time)
8.The ability to purchase real estate just like in SA
9.Make every building accessible
10.Realistic weather conditions (a hurricane would be interesting)

That's pretty much all of got for idea's a lot of which are taken mostly from SA but none the less it would be nice for a change to see some improvement's. But I'm not crossing my fingers because my opinions in a way don't matter to the corporate world.

I guess I better find some time and finish GTA 4 which I have had for over a year.

I think they should go retro and offer the game in the view from above mode just like the first GTA.

Would you like a 28kb internet connection with your order ?
Perhaps a more sensible idea would be to bundle a special addition of the next instalment of the GTA series with the first two games and expansion packs . I would like to see some of the functionality that could be found in GTA Vice City and San Andreas such learning to fly and buying a business .

Ballard of Gay Tony looks amazing. Theres probally going to be one more expension pack after that. Then they would be most likley working towarda GTA V

A remade Vice City. They should also make a completely new engine and optimize it well. It's not good that my average C2D E4500, GTS 250 and 4 gigs of ram can't run the game smooth enough (stable 60+ fps).
They should also add more easter eggs. I really liked the alien sightings map in SA. And of course they shouldn't forget Lazlow!

They should put in some kind of easter european country or some kind of war stricken country just to give it more action. I don't want to turn it into Mercenaries or at least not mercenaries 2 which was the worst game I have ever played and i'm not just saying that.

They should put it in Russia maybe. I know they just had a Russian mafia type game but I personally don't think they did it right. They mainstream media don't ever get the Russian Mafia right or any mafia. They need to have more people involved (i'm tired of three man mafias) and they need to have a better style like for example most people in the Russian mafia or any eastern european mafia all will roll up in all black BMW's or Mercedes with tinted windows. They come up with dark clothes or suits and are very organized.

I just think Russia would be the coolest GTA ever. Moscow is a big city also so they have no excuse to downsize.

GTA LONDON MY FRIENDS!!! THAT IS WHAT WE NEED TO SEE.
Well, the single player will be amazing, no doubt, I just wish that there is an increased number of side missions and mini-games etc so once you finish the storyline, there is actualky stuff to do.
I suppose they could really take some advice from Saints Row 2...

No offense, but ever since Vice City the rumor has persisted that Rockstar would be doing a GTA London and everytime I've heard it I have though to myself "Uck". I actually think the GTA formula has run it's course for awhile. Rockstar needs to make a "done right" sandbox game in a different genre, either old west or sci-fi.

Well a game set in the wild west already exists . Link . I think that the next game could almost be make or break for the GTA franchise because as has already been noted GTA 4 was lacking in game play elements . What they need to do is have the players decisions effect story line and have more then one playable character . What I suspect they will actually do is have a short story line and put more focus on expansion packs and multiplayer . If that is case then I won't be forking out for $100 - $120 at the counter .

They are still making add ons for GTA IV I think. The latest one is based on the character "gay Tony"

I think a Las Vegas one would be awesome. Imagine being able to go to the outskirts of Las Vegas to bury a body

As I understand things the city of Las Venturas that appears in GTA San Andreas is taken off Las Vegas in the same way Liberty city is taken off New York City. Still with its casino's and fictional theme park that was heard about and not seen it could be a good setting for the next instalment of the series .
