U.K. children's authors to boycott schools Some protest pedophile security system by refusing to read books

Some protest pedophile security system by refusing to read books

Some of Britain's leading children's authors have banded together to boycott school appearances to protest a new rule requiring adults to prove they are not sex offenders before they can enter schools.

The regulation will require adults to undergo a police background check at their own expense to demonstrate they are not a threat to young people. It takes effect in October in response to the 2002 murder of two schoolgirls by a school caretaker.

Right, there seems to be something out of sync with this news, just not sure how the hell a farther or a mother is going to assure the officer that he is not a pedophile.

I mean most of you had read my previous two threads regarding this issue. One was about the Kindergarten school were the female teacher was involved in taking photographs of the children and the husband was apparently involved but later charges were dropped.

The second was the banning of the parents from attending an athletic event which only the teachers and the children were only allowed to attend.

So now who ever has children he needs to pay his own way and attend a police station saying that he or she is not a pedophile, regardless of the fact that he or she may or may not be a parent. This obviously will lead to something far more evil than meets the eye. It's beginning to sound that eventually were are just going to be manufacturing plants for reproduction and until the state deems you mentally fit as a parent is the only chance you will have of having a family.

We could see this as a step from an "innocent until proven guilty" mindset to a "guilty until proven innocent" mindset, which is outrageous. Good for the authors, standing up against such nonsense! I applaud them.

In the US there's a sex offender database so the school would be able to check the person online, though I don't know if Britain has the same kind of publicly available database. But just having the schools use something like that would be a lot less intrusive than making an innocent person go to a police station and pay for something to prove they are innocent.

There is far more to what slowly is crawling around. As a simple test try asking an elderly person what he thinks if he will be required to attend a police station for them to certify his intentions of interacting with his grand children, oh lets not forget that he too will be required to pay for that certificate of normality.
