I've been to lake Thunderbird and various other large lakes in Oklahoma over my lifetime and never encountered anything resembling this particular cephalopod. Having grown up in this state, I can attest to the fact that I've never even heard of this story. I will definitely be on the lookout now! What a great story.

well I tried looking for it earlier and had no luck but I remember reading about a lake somewhere in the us where they found a live seal, two types of saltwater fish and two live squid.
The book was called the encyclopedia of cryptozoology
www.goodreads.com...
I no longer have the book and I cant find anything on the lake on the internet, but it could help validate the octopuses existance
