TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (CNN) -- Deposed Honduran President Jose Manuel Zelaya said he was denied permission to land at Tegucigalpa's airport Sunday evening after a deadly clash between Zelaya's supporters and government troops.

The first coup detat in nearly two decades, and it seems to be a fairly calm and lasting one. Although I have little love for the military taking over its country arbitrarily, this was a man attempting to alter the constitution to allow him infinite terms as President - something we've already seen happen in Russia and Venezuela.

Is the sacrifice of people's choice worth it? Does anyone see the military submitting their authority to Congress?

Wait... didn't Obama say this coup was illegal?

Maybe we should call those Honduras soldiers and remind them.. maybe they didn't get the message..

The Honduran Constution tells the people to depose an out-of-control government....

Just like the one we have - but no one cares about anymore.

this was a Honduras supreme court judicial order and Honduras's Congress.

the military was only acting on orders of the Honduras supreme court and Honduras's Congress.

like the US Honduras has a three part government.
the judicial branch
the legislative branch.
and the president.

In this case two branches of there government got rid of the third that was trying to violate the constitution of there country.

We can only hope that if a president of the US repealed the constitution and the US supreme court and congress impeached the president that if no one else could remove him that the US military would uphold the constitution and on orders of the US supreme court and congress and would remove him.
