McKinney also stands in opposition to some the Green Party's 10 Key Values. The Green Party stands for non-violence. Period. There can be no other statement after this. Ms. McKinney, however, assaulted a police officer who prevented her from entering Congress. Now, you may be wondering why a police officer wouldn't let a Congresswoman enter Congress. Well, she wasn't wearing her ID badge. She did apologize later, and again I praise her for admitting she was wrong, but if her first reaction to a "crisis" is violence instead of reason, she has no place on the Green Party ticket. What if the president responded to every confrontation with another country by bombing them, and then apologized later? The damage is done.
The Green Party's 10 Key Values don't advocate non-violence "unless you forget to wear your ID" or "unless a cop annoys you."
Its non-violence.
Period.
