Hi,

I have a question as to what the 'warnings and errors' are suppose to be on the bottom right hand of the page?

Thanks,

Hey helen,

Can you give a bit of a description of what warnings you get...
I've used Firefox since the first beta testing and can't think of anything.

Could they be warnings from another program like a firewall or anti-virus ?

Hi anxiety/

I have Avast but it's not that!\

It's maybe an add on?
HTML tidy result?
Page?...HTML page is empty?
Frame?...? errors ? so many warnings?
Lets say i go to a link....it gives me so many warnings, and so many errors of that page?
????

Thats it!
I doesn't worry me, but would like to know what it is?
And for what reason?
thanks,

IX

List the Add-ons that you have activated and maybe we can figure out which program is causing the alerts.
You may be able to change a setting so everything stays the same but the warnings are silent.

I sent you a u2u, the boards will be wonky on and off today for server work.

Here's the thread from SO about it.

Thanks for the u2u...Ok.

About the warnings....I cant remember what I added for add ons.
Does that make sense?
It happens not on ATS ...eg/I will get not more then 200 warnings on ATS,
BUT, If I go to another web page....I know its safe/It gives me over 2,000 warnings and over 3,000 errors?
Wierd isn't it!
Well, thank you anyway!

On the top of your page click "Tools"

In the drop down select and click "Add-ons"

Now you have a pop-up screen with every Add-on you've downloaded. I suspect the problem is here, listing them might help diagnose this.
A screen capture would be great.

Hi a.d

The computer I am using is not mine, and I don't want to alter anything on it...how do I screen capture?
Just save page?
I tried to copy and paste, but it doesn't let me.
Maybe my computer is haunted by Demons?

I can deal with Demons, so I'm not worried!

There's a triangle with an exclamation mark on it...next to that, I get the warnings and errors.
Oh well,

thanks again,

Point taken on using other people's machines.

Click "Tools" anyway.
Select "Add-ons" for the hell of it.
Disable the add-on "HTML Validator", just to see what happens.
Close the Firefox browser windows, then start them up, but you don't need to re-boot.

After the browser re-start surf around with it off and see if you have a better net experience.
It should be a simple on and off so you shouldn't worry too much about screwing up someone else's computer.

If any other board members have suggestions, please step up to the podium.
The microphone is live and we're listening..........
