I guess if Obama has said it, then it must be true! Personally, I've always been on the fence on this one, whether or not aliens actually built them. But I do think there is a connection. So much for disclosure from the President, or is this just to warm us up. After all, he didn't say anything about there not being an alien connection. I did see the picture he was talking about that looked like him, but I cannot find it, but the resemblence is rather striking!

Gee he must be perdy smart to have a degree in ancient biology...and the way they wrote the "hey that looks like me" made it sound kind of ironic in a way that kinda..well..creeped the hell outt me lol.

I agree tho that maaaaaybe he's just doing this to get some more awareness out there. Playing the politician, ya know? they gotta see what the reaction to truth will be before the allow us to hear it.

While the Egyptians were mathematically advanced, I always thought it was tens of thousands upon tens of thousands of slaves that built the pyramids over a few generations not ET's

Duh, none of us know how the pyramids were built, but what has been fairly generally agreed is that men would not have had the power or machinery to move those huge stones and assemble them so precisely in the exact spots they are in, in lines from the stars to whatever etc.

OK, who built them? It was either a race of advanced giants (Titans) or aliens.

And for Obama to say there is no evidence - duh, again, we had noticed.

The duhs in this post are directed at Obama, not you lol.

I remember that too. but then i start to think how many people it would take to feed those tens of thousands of slaves that pick up two tonne rocks for a living, and so on.

Aah, the pyramids revisited with an Obama twist

I was always one of those who believed aliens or "Atlantians" either designed or built the pyramids, but there is no proof, other than the pure magnificence and size of the pyramids. I say they were built by ancient Egyptians using methods and tools we don't know how to replicate today.

Modern man has been spoilt so badly by cranes and technology that our modern brains cannot comprehend the possibility that it was built without (modern electric) machinery.

Did aliens build the Colosseum as well?

Frankly I'm getting more than a little tired of the constant chant that brown people can't stack rocks. Which is, if you were blissfully unaware, exactly what the origins of "Aliens / atlanteans / ancient european travelers had to build this stuff!" hypotheses.

The pyramids were built over the course of a few decades by a rotating seasonal labor force who were paid in beer. Sort of like what you can find outside a Tuscon-area Home Depot.

x-ray cat told me that what you see on tv is not allways correct and there is a massive egyption mineing colony located beneath those pyramids and are patrolled by very large sand worms, obama has been doing this for years he has been trying to open the 9th gate by collecting precolumbian artifacts from various places in the world includeing the mayan pyramids he expecially likes the ones that look like the black face cartoons that used to be on soda bottles in the 50s

Obama is just a man. Whatever he says holds as much water as the next person. He is no specialist, therefore his point of view can be taken with a grain of salt.

Personally, I don't know if there is an ET connection but one things for sure; The Egyptian culture had a big connection with the stars.

well, they've recreated those types of machines many times. I don't believe that with the extensive history of scientific discovery at the disposal of todays physicists/hobbyists, that they wouldn't be able to recreate it.
Also, getting it sooo level and soo square..like, today i watched a documentary on the longbow, apparently egypts greatest weapon against the hittites under rhamsese the second. I can't for the life of me believe that if they could build pyramids like that they'd be unable to incorporate that genius into some sort of weapon.

edit: a weapon better than a bow an arrow, which, according to the report, the they the idea of.

If so........I mean these pyramids were crafted by very very very skilled craftsman....

You really think there were tens upon tens upon tens of thousands of that many skilled craftsmen ??????????

And if at worst it was created like you say, It was at least built 10,000 years prior to when they say it was.....But then they would have to let us in on previous civs they are covering up......They can't afford to let one like like this slip because it will bring out the truth in about 100 other lies.........

The only time the longbow has been in the Egyptian military arsenal was when we sold them a few AH-64D Apache Longbow attack helicopters this year for $842 million

The documentary was lying to you. The Egyptian bow was a laminate shortbow.

documentaries cannot lie to people they are not alive, silly.

to be honest, the facts they presented were a little more convincing than your post! Unless of course, you're the documentary police, in which case i'd like to see some id.

edit: my point was, the weapon was unimpressive. the pyramids, impressive.

"brown people can't stack rocks" - I don't get your meaning here. What I was saying was that no people could (1) cut rocks to such a precise fit and (2) stack them so they fitted exactly, no matter the color of the people.

Let alone the huge size and weight of the stones.

The text book watered down version of history being taught in schools is quite frankly most of it a lie.

The pyramids are much older than the world is led to believe and so is the Sphinx.

The civilizations of those times were in contact with ET's just like some are in contact with ET's today.

People have intentionally kept this information from the world just like they are keeping secrets about contact with ET's today.

Most of the technology we have today comes from ET's.

We could easily re-create the pyramids with the technology we have today however that technology is being kept from the world and will probably never see day light for another 20-30yrs. (Guesstimation)

Laser technology is what cut the stones, anti-gravity was used in placement of the stones. This technology was given to man by ET in those times, just like that technology has been given to man by ET in these times.-)

And yet they obviously did, because there they are.

You're aware of course we have records of the Egyptians' existence. We have their tools, and images they made of them using the tools. We have numerous examples of Egyptian architecture, as well as plenty of quarries from which they got their stone. We even have payrolls and the ruins of lodgings for the workers they used. In fact, bringing all this evidence to the experimental stage has demonstrated that, indeed, the Egyptians could have accomplished this feat

All we have in support of anyone else having built them, are a few people who still can't wrap their heads around the idea that the Egyptians didn't look like Yul Brenner, much less that the Egyptians were quite capable of the craftsmanship so clearly displayed.

Maybe you can't figure out how to quarry limestone, shape it, break it from the quarry floor, sled it, polish it with wet sand, and then work it onto the pile. But obviously, the Egyptians did, because they're right the hell there.

You are "guilty" of what I mentioned in my first post. You have a modern brain "poisoned" by technology which refuses to believe that "simple" man is capable of such marvels.

"Belief" is a powerful thing. If I can point you at the extreme of "belief". I hope you watched the original Star Wars movies. Yoda moves the figther with his mind and Luke says "I don't believe it". Master Yoda replies "That is why you couldn't do it."

Our modern brains is also the main reason most people refuse to believe in ancient civilizations. The modern brain says "we do not find any ancient TVs, cds or computers therefore ancient advanced civilizations are impossible".
