How many of you knew that Obama spent time in Pakistan as a young adult?

I am still completely floored that the American people were duped into electing this guy. However, the more I learn about him, the more afraid of him I become.

I bet very few of you knew he spent time in Pakistan when he was in college.

According to his campaign staff, Mr. Obama visited Pakistan in 1981, on the way back from Indonesia, where his mother and half-sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, were living. He spent “about three weeks” there, Mr. Obama’s press secretary, Bill Burton, said, staying in Karachi with the family of a college friend, Mohammed Hasan Chandoo, but also traveling to Hyderabad, in India.

In a story headlined "Obama's mother stayed in Pakistan for five years", leading Urdu newspaper Daily Waqt reported that Dunham was hired as a consultant by the Asian Development Bank and travelled often from Lahore to Gujranwala.

"Ann Dunham lived in Pakistan for five years. During this time, Barack Obama also visited his mother and stayed for a few months. Ann Dunham was hired as a consultant by the Asian Development Bank for Pakistan's Agricultural Development Bank's Gujranwala Agricultural Development Programme. This programme began in 1987 and ended in 1992," the report said.

Okay, so on the one hand, the candidate for president was a POW, a war hero, son of an Admiral in the United States Navy, grandson of an Admiral in the United States Navy, and has served this Country in the Congress for 27 years.

On the other hand is a guy that no one knows anything about. A guy whose father isn't an American, whose mother has spent more time in Muslim nations than in the US, a man who was a member of a radical church, a man who spent time with a domestic terrorist, a man who was running for president longer than he was in the US senate.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Bush or Cheney (for the record, I voted for Gore and then Kerry in 2000 and 2004 respectively), but while this guy spends the next three and a half years destroying this country, I'll have a clear conscience knowing that I voted for the American candidate in 2008.

Oh noes, a well traveled president.

I think you should be more worried of the fact that only he and mccain were selected for your vote. They put two people in front of you and said "pick." Thats something to be worried about.

Well traveled president, thats funny. Last I checked Hillary Clinton was FAR more well traveled, ohh and she is American.

I have never voted for a republican in my life, I am an educated east coast liberal. But Obama isn't American... I don't even believe he was born in the US.

I think that this guy is a Manchurian Candidate who was installed to destroy this country. I think that he has very strong Muslim ties. I think the People of the US voted for him because they were so feed up by the crooks called Republicans. I think CNN and MSNBC are his propaganda machines and I believe that he is trying to be the LAST president of the fromerly United States.

Just my thoughts, I hope I don't get to tell you I told you so.

In 1981 Pakistan was under Martial Law1 and in the midst of dealing with the Afgan-soviet war. Going to Pakistan then was much like going to Pakistan now. I don't think it’s a popular tourist destination. It’s not like going to see Big Ben or Parliament.

Firstly, he wasn't a US diplomat. He was a college student from a crappy California College on his way to Columbia University (how did that happen?).

As a freshman, he quickly became friends with Mohammed Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, two wealthy Pakistanis.

My point is that he got elected through fraud, just like Bush was appointed by the Supreme Court after stealing the Florida election, this guy hid his history from the American people and was installed to dismantle this country.

Because American citizens were not allowed to travel to Pakistan in 1981, this was around the same time the Pakistani govt. stood by and let a mob attack the US Embassy in Islamabad and then burn down the building and pick off a US Marine guard and let them rip apart 2 other Americans like a band of savages.

I don't think that the god you pray to qualifies or disqualifies a person from being president.

However, a person's religious beliefs say something about a man's character and world view. If you are pro-life, don't you want to know if the guy you are going to vote for shares your beliefs if that is a make or break criteria for you?

If a person is a pacifist (not saying that there is anything wrong with that) wouldn't you want to know that before voting for him to be the commander in chief of your armed forces?

The problem with Obama is that I still don't know what his core values are. I don't know if his idea of a successful administration is compatible with my view of where I want my country to head. I don't think any of you know what Obama really wants to change about this country and if you will like that change.

BTW How was Ukraine ? I'm 50 % ...both my mom's mom and dad were born there so I have always even if only for week wanted to go there just because.
