Woman Arrested for Trespassing in Her Own Home After Supposed Mortgage Scam

Dawn Welsh thought her house was paid off. She received paperwork from her bank showing it was paid off, but through a series of her mortgage being bought and sold, Wachovia Bank was the final owner of the mortgage and claimed Welsh was still owed on her home despite papers showing otherwise.

Today, Hillsboro, Missouri police came onto her property and broke her door down to remove her from he More..r property near St. Louis. They used a battering ram to enter her home, despite her showing evidence in the past that she owned the property. She had gone to court previously and showed a judge the mortgage was paid in full, and it is a record of the court. However, these are desperate times for Wachovia who continued to threaten the 54-year-old woman.

Is this what it is coming to now? It almost feels as though they are trying to force we the peoples hand to revolt so they have a excuse to start rounding people up for nothing ....then start the camps perhaps. If there is more of this , I feel it may start very soon .....this is very disconcerting.

this is very troubling indeed. however she seems to have a very clear cut case aginst the police and the bank and i would bet that after the law suit is over she will no longer have the need to ever worry about a mortgage again. the bank and police will be paying here for the rest of her and probably the rest of her kids lives as well. as bad as this is she is actually quite luck, she is in the position and appears to have the support to make an example out of these people who think they can take what the want because they have a badge and someone with money was telling them what to do. it is never what you know but who you know and how much money you have. sad indeed. i hope they try this on me.

"Battering Ram!" Why on earth would they choose to do it this way. I have evicted dozens of people and never had a sheriff offer use of his battering ram.

Trespassing? Did they continue to throw all her belongings out as well? Were the officers from the bank standing by to change the locks?

If this was just a police action based on a trespassing complaint I am flabbergasted!

I have friends who used to live in Hillsboro, it is a nice area.

I listened to this entire thing go down live. This incredibly brave little grandmother was on the phone, live, with Joyce Riley of "The Power Hour" radio talk show when the gestapo bashed her door down and threw all three women to the floor. This is a prime example of the corruption, theft, raping and pillaging of the peasants by the cops and the corrupt courts that is becoming the norm in America. It starts with the NWO cabal and trickles all the way down to the most innocent grandparents, parents and children... all of them... all of us!

I'm quite aware of the silent process that takes place with the buying and selling of your mortgage behind closed doors. With no imput by you even though you are the one ultimately responsible for the debt. It got to the point one time where I had to ask my wife just where the heck do I send payment this month? We ran into one company, I can't remember who there were so many, who systematically charged us late fees every month because they insisited that our payment was late even though we knew we had sent it in on time. They just waited until the close date passed and then entered our payment into the system as late. We ultimately started paying the extra cost each month to send our payment by Fed Ex certified delivery because then there was a record of when they received it.
I sure hope that one of the news shows like 60 Minutes or Dateline NBC picks up on this and she sues they living daylights out of the company that ordered the foreclosure. I know it sounds lame, but the cops were just executing their warrent and following orders.

I'm amazed these people had the composure that they did. I'm sorry to say I would not have been so compliant. I'm very angry just listening to this video.

I'm confused. If she already had court papers showing that her mortgage was paid in full, then surely it would take another court order for the police to forcibly evict her, despite a previous ruling in her favour.

The police in this case are nothing more than hired muscle for the bank and should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, if that is even possible given the attitude of many officers towards members of the public these days.

I hope she takes them to the cleaners!

The sad part though is she will have to spend a tremendous amount of money for legal counsel which could run into the hundreds of thousands of dollars. The average person can not afford that or it will end up putting her back into major debt. I feel so sad for this woman and completely angry at the same time at the bank that created this situation.

Why do we sit around and keep letting this happen to our country? Our mothers, father grandparents and do nothing. We dont lift a finger after they bail out the banks when they could have used OUR money to bail US out and this would have in turn saved that banks. But the banks wanted the bail out plus our money.

This is happening in the UK, fathers have had their children taken from them, the child support agency are used as a tool to steal all the money from fathers wages, up to 40% and even more. Caffcass who is used by family courts are helping mothers and the courts to steal children from fathers.

Caffcass head was adopted at birth and he said that children should be able to choose who they want to live with at the age of 7

That is terrible - how could something like that happen? Where was the justice in this where are the courts? Having to go to court and show where the mortgage was paid off.

That is why - EVERYONE needs to write their mortgage company and say "show me the note" - to confirm who actually owns the mortgage.

Suing won't do any good because the courts always judge in favor of the banks.

Showing the evidence that she paid off the mortgate won't do any good either because the courts will always dismiss any evidence that's in favor of the customer.
