This story just keeps getting stranger. Now the claim is that the "notification system," broke down. Oh ok. That all makes sense. So either they are lying or we are even more ill equipped to handle an attack then we were in 2001.

The NYPD said the flight "was authorized by the FAA for the vicinity of the Statue of Liberty, with directives to local authorities not to disclose information about it, but to direct all inquiries to the FAA."
