FBI's Newest 'Most Wanted' Terrorist Is American

news.yahoo.com

For the first time, an accused domestic terrorist is being added to the FBI's list of "Most Wanted" terror suspects.

Daniel Andreas San Diego, a 31-year-old computer specialist from Berkeley, Calif., is wanted for the 2003 bombings of two corporate offices in California.

Authorities describe San Diego as an animal rights activist who turned to bomb attacks and say he has tattoo that proclaims, "It only takes a spark."

Does anyone remember hearing about these bombings in 2003?

I know I sure do not remember Chiron Corporation or Shaklee Corporation having been attacked back in 2003.

This guys name sure is odd as well, and the news story as well as the entire thing smells like a shift from Right-Wing to Left-Wing after the backlash of the recent report that was griped about by veterans about the Department of Homeland Security memo that was recently released.

I don't remember any bombings on US soil since 2001... Perhaps I'm just naive or wasn't paying attention at the time? I do agree, it sounds fishy.

edit: It appears to have been conducted by an animal rights group... At least, they took credit for it. Why this didn't make MSM, I don't know. If you Google "2003 california bombing" you get nothing but an article on the new "Most Wanted" fugitive, and nothing else relating to the Chiron Corp bombing. Searching for specific queries about the Chiron Corp bombing turns up very little info... I wonder what Chiron Corp was actually doing to warrant such a "sweep-under-the-rug" operation? And I wonder if anyone's gonna get it at the FBI for bringing it back to light.

Apparently these bombings did happen, ...

Bomb hits Pleasanton's Shaklee

Saturday, September 27, 2003
******SKIP******
(09-27) 04:00 PDT Pleasanton -- Federal agents are trying to determine whether a predawn explosion at a Pleasanton company Friday was the work of animal rights militants who have stepped up violent protest in the last year -- though authorities said the bomber also could have been anyone from a disgruntled worker to teenagers looking for a thrill.

Chiron Corporation

On August 27, 2003 two bombs exploded at Chiron's headquarters in Emeryville, California. A group calling itself Revolutionary Cells (RCALB) e-mailed a statement to reporters taking credit for the bombing.

Thanks for finding that information.

I find it rather stupid that anyone would e-mail in to take credit for something like this event.

They might as well have showed up to F.B.I. Headquarters to admit to it.

I sure do not remember this event in the mainstream media.

But then again, the Bush Administration would have gone to any lengths to make it appear nothing else other than September 11th happened on his watch.

Interestingly, if not directly on topic, this demonstrates how the MSM filters 'local' news OUT of the material they deem 'worthy' of our attention.

Used to be the thinking that denying 'terrorist' action the benefit of publicity would dissuade them from further violence because it would serve no purpose in 'elevating' awareness of their raison d'etre.

Truth is, it just motivates them to ESCALATE their activities to FORCE recognition.

We need to realize that there is MUCH in this country that we are not privy to because the MSM conglomerate holds, in effect, a monopoly on news...

I remember this guy. He was the weirdo who pipe bombed companies that were testing products on animals or doing some type of other experiments on them.

If you've been paying attention to the whining over the Homeland Security report, you would know that a similar report on left-wing extremism was released earlier this year.

Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are dead wrong. The government targets both left-wing and right-wing extremists, regardless of what they want to believe.

Report: 'Dirty bomb' parts found in slain man's home
Heres one that never got picked up on that happened recently during the elections. When you read who he was and the things he had its scarey. Theres police reports listed on wikileaks thats how I found out.

It says that four 1-gallon containers of 35 percent hydrogen peroxide, uranium, thorium, lithium metal, thermite, aluminum powder, beryllium, boron, black iron oxide and magnesium ribbon were found in the home.

Well if you are a left-wing extremist, bombing stuff is a step up an the career ladder, it seems. Look at Bill Ayres and some of the 60's "Weatherman", they bombed stuff and now many of them are college professors...makes you wonder. This guy will probably have a tenured position at Berkley in the near future

I remembered reading about this from a Los Angeles Times article in 2003.

The State; E-Mail Says Animal Group Behind Blast; Message says a radical group calling itself Revolutionary Cells bombed Shaklee Corp., promises a bigger explosion in Bay Area. Source: L.A. Times Archives

It did indeed happen and I remember the group was implicated and called "Revolutionary Cells".

Edit: sorry to remove the archive link, I realized it doesn't work unless you're a member, it just re-directs you to another page.

Hello?
What happened to Osama Bin Laden?
Wasn't he suppose to be the mastermind that killed thousands?
Ah - we can forget about him now?
Is that just old news?
Perhaps we were never looking?

Anyone who knows anything in the conspiracy theory field knows that Berkley is where the C.I.A. funds "college experiments".

Could this have been associated with one of their well funded experiments?

If you weed through the Berkeley Graduates School of Journalism site (journalism.berkeley.edu...) they’re pretty obsessed with the CIA.

The CIA is mentioned a lot in articles about foreign and national terrorism. You can read some of this from their terrorism archives: journalism.berkeley.edu...

I’ve always though it was interesting that they showed such an interest in the CIA, but I’ve never heard of any such experiments. I’ll have to look into that.

I grew up and remember strongly how the terrorists wanted one of threee things.

Fellow terrorists freed, money, and media attention.

Hijacking airliners was the big thing when I was a child.

Left-wing or right-wing, it doesn't matter, whoever is in the White House affects what's done, and their counterpart political party always finds a way to drag them down.
