Before I read your post, I was just fixing to say that Obama promised CHANGE.

Massive unemployment, nationalizing auto manufacturers, heart-stopping deficits, thousands of businesses going under, and he's taxing everything but the wind we break.

I do hope many of those "enlightened" and "progressive" folks who voted for him and the turds in Congress are the first to lose their homes/jobs/futures.

This guy in a matter of weeks has set this country back a decade.

Normally, when you find you dug yourself into a hole, you stop digging.

Not this guy! CHANGE!

I can only speak from my experience as I have owned small companies with a work force of 8 fulltime and 4part time employees.

My incentive to keep my people was a loyalty to the employees that helped build, maintain and make my businesses profitable. Taxes and having my products manufactured via outsourcing never even entered my mind. I could have easily had my products made off shore or in Mexico, but I felt a responsibility to my people.

What caused my business to tank was when the Oil companies, buddies of Cheney and Bush, decided to make gas $4 bucks a gallon, LPG $3 and make it impossible to market and manufacture my work. My profit margin was so low that I couldn't pass the extra cost on to my clients so I had no choice but to lay off my people and file chapter 13. Now I work for someone else.

Learn anything numo16?

Ya, funny isnt it. Its like we have to bash someone to feel important.
We are thankfully waking up a bit to the real stuff goin on in the world.
Well some of us apparently.
I was going to contribute more here but I think I'll wait and let the infighting play out some more!
We get about three posts and somebody pipes in and starts it up!
Almost like clockwork, hmmm? When we can all realize the only way to make it work is to work together and forget the partisen bs. Ya right

We'll keep fighting each other just like they want.
Its just a distraction, dont you get it?
Dont matter WHOS in there, they ARE ALL LIERS, bought and paid for! Thats our system at work, for good or bad.
If you really want to make it work LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS!
Otherwise continue to hope your country fails I guess. How nice.
If if it does, we all do. Think about that.
Here this explains it all, watch out potty talk warning!
Oooooooo, I'm sure we dont want to watch this cuz its too true!

www.youtube.com...
Could do without the music, but explains this land of greed 2 a T.

Yes I did...thank you. Smaller companies where it's all more of a tightly knit family, it's easier to overlook these things out of respect and relationships. Bigger companies is more what my point was about. I completely understand your point of view as I work for a smaller company like that where our owner would rather not cut employees, and has discussed alternatives as of late as times are tough for everyone.

I'm sure that you find it convienient to blame Obama..and the GOP leaders in both houses with their deregulation of wall street.

Yes, I shortened your comment, just to bring about the relevant bits. There are three things up there everyone needs to focus on: Obama (meaning the Democrats, not just him), the "GOP leaders", and "Wall Street", the three things that got us into this mess. I've gotten past the whole, "I'm going to blame this group or that group" for the problems and have moved right into blaming all of them. Every single one of them. I'm even blaming Ron Paul, a man I firmly believe in, because he didn't put on his best combat armor, take down the rifle above the fire place, and walk out the door. He lead a campaign, but he let the people push him around. He was too nice. As I said above, I blame all of them.

They all did this to us. Even if these people did deregulate Wall Street, it was still Wall Street that went ahead and did all of these CDS and over leveraged. They are all guilty. They all did this, and they all have the blood of America on their hands. One group didn't cause this any more than the rest of them. They all had to be involved at some level. The jobs keep vanishing, and this is only going to get worse. When GM fails to properly restructure you're going to see them go bankrupt. The government will say that they are going to try to save the good parts, but that's just to calm the masses while the company implodes. When the nearly $1 Trillion CDS that GM has are triggered, you're going to see things collapse in epic proportions. All of the support agencies, businesses, and parts manufacturers for GM will all suddenly be without work. They'll succumb to the reality of closing shop. All the workers will be out. When new companies start up to fill the void (as typically happens with an eruption of this magnitude) some of these people will find gainful employment with them, but under new plans that offer less benefits and wages.

You may not agree with everything on this LINK but read it anyway. The math doesn't lie. It's what's coming. the 742,000 jobs lost in March will soon be eclipsed. I've already lost my job. I hope for better times, but know the fall has yet to occur.

That's an average rate of about 24,000 jobs lost per day !

Anybody know what SHTF means ?

Raising cigarette taxes and printing a bunch of worthless currency isn't going to stop this trainwreck, my friends ...

Things are really bad here in eastern Pennsylvania. I've been laid off since July and everybody in my family is laid off except one aunt and one uncle. The job market is absolutely horrible. It's so strange to walk outside at mid day during the week and see the street lined with parked cars because nobody has a job anymore. But worry not; at least we have a black president.

Things are really bad in a lot of places, not just Pennsylvania.

I find your remark about us now having a black president quite deragatory, and to be quite frank, racist.

American people suffered the Bush administration for 8 years, and that administration is why we are in the fix that we are now. Bush was white, and I really take offence that you suggest that all our problems now rely on the fact that we have a black president in office.

These things that we are facing, did not just suddenly pop up....it took 8 years to get us where we are, by a white guy.

Obama was just sworn in, in January, and it is now April 1st. Sorry, but your words suggesting the problems we face are because he is now in charge, and black, are ridiculous.

Put the blame where it belongs, and that is on the Bush administration!

Some people still do not get it!!! One man, or one administration, did NOT cause what is happening in the US today! It started with the powers - our Congress - gave to the FED and has continued for decades with EVERY administration since then!!

Only one President made any attempt to try and give control of our money back to us - Kennedy. And he was killed because of it!! Start educating yourselves, folks and stop the damn party bickering about whether the Dems or Reps did this to us.........they ALL did! And, we let them.

I agree with you there. The problem is that it's now obama's responsibility to fix it and he isn't doing one single thing to help. Who caused the problem is beside the point, the ball is in the democrat's court now (through no fault of mine) and it's time they did something besides their usual tax and spend BS.

SO you believe that UNEMPLOYMENT and failing BUSINESS'S is the fault of my saviour?

Really?

If he inherited a palate of wine and roses I would forfeit and capitulate, but that is not the case.

I know the feeling- I was laid off in early March from a trucking company that moved Chemicals that are used to produce wafers for semiconductors. My entire division is gone. I blame the President for all the doom and gloom. I can say this-since we were running three runs from Texas to NC and back-weekly. Then we slowed down- then I serviced my truck, then nothing. I was told to turn in my Safety Equipement.

I hope March will be the worst of it-but I do not think so. I think that there will be more these months for awhile. Yeah I can get an Over The Road job- trained Monkeys can do those jobs. I hold every endorsement, twic and vetted by Homeland Security and I havent found a job yet.

Liquid...I must admit I find your avatar to be a bit odd. Bush spends eight years getting us into this mess, Obama is trying (admittedly doing a poor job) for the last 70+ days to get us out of it, and you have an avatar that appears to blame the democrats. What gives? Do you actually believe that McCain would be doing any better of a job? Would the war with Iran that McCain would have started somehow erase (or magnify) the mistakes of our last disgrace of a president?

On a side note, I do agree with your post and too find it appalling how desensitized we have become to very alarming figures. Personally, I think most Americans are in a daze not knowing how to react. Really, I feel this daze is a product of feeling helpless to do anything about the situation we are in.

Many think that we need a revolution, however it is my feeling that a "Mad Max" society where anarchy reigns would hardly be a good trade for the times we are in.

LM

is a partisan, just like myself... I think if you have paid attention to the rebranding of said economic woes you could understand LM and its position. The right first blew some smoke off about Barney Franks and forcing the banks ( elite conglomerates) to loan to lazy people. However this explanation falls short which is why the staunch vocalization
that OBAMA caused the entire mess is the new tactic, akin to IRAQ cause 9/11...
The ideology of letting the ELITES run wild called for deregulation - repeal of GLASS- STEAGAL - etc
The ideology dictated that let business be free... However we had a financial houses insuring their own intrest via their own company...SOOO
I have a hard time with not being partisan, especially right now, because LM and its ilk are trying to march around the building and reenter thru the backdoor...
LM is trying to forget - PARTY FIRST - long live GWB!

Just prior to the election, many in the financial markets, as well as employers and manufacturers watched carefully to see who would win.

When the Grand Turd with no previous job history was elected, once the results were in, it has been an constant financial slide ever since.

So to not only complicate the slide, he's got to give it a push with a train even farther down hill!

This guy's an idiot. And I hope everyone that keeps bringing up the race thing has gotten it out of their system, because at the rate this country is going, this guy will be officially recognized in the history books as the dumbest SOB ever in the White House.

Hell, he is making George W. Bush look like a ****ing genius!

It took GWB four years to get stupid.

This guy has covered three times the stupid ground in one twentieth the time.

My God, what's he going to do next? Declare himself dictator of the Proletariat?

Well circumstance gives you the angles for your proclamation. However history indicates the fact that OBAMA did not inherit anything in a reasonable condition...
The market was/is? on the road to catastrophic failure which took much more than 72 days to produce suspect you are using the ease of circumstance to level and base your charges. The dislike for Obama is becoming just as psychopathic as his adorers from my position.

Now if Obama did not inherit an economy cut down and stable and healthy sectors I would not be on here. I am certain you and I will never agree on the blame game...

If you want to debate give me a charge that cannot be linked to W, otherwise have a nice long four years - I was b$#@$#@$#@ about Bush and the outcome years previous, now you are free shuffle the results back my way... Ironic

I agree, the rebranding is making me sick. No one spins like a republican. If and when Obama does turn things around, they will somehow spin it to seem as if it was Bush's eight years that made it possible.

Its true... It has taken me a couple months to get what is bugging me about the populist movement... Clearly it is all of the folks who egged on this disaster jumping on the PRO AMERICAN CONSTITUTION TRAIN. I think it keeps me perpetually suspicious of many of these newly born CONSTITUTIONALISTS-

In the end the GOP will spin back into the drivers seat - via FREEDOM types of rhetoric
ala Terrorisms - new name and new game of course - same plan and agenda-

the bankrupting and the overthrow of the american republic started with ghwb#1 and shermanschoolnick.com was right on target with what we are seeing now. you need read it if it is still available. china, hillary clinton are tied tighter than her and bill. but what scares me is her getting bindens vp job from being shamed out! then obama has a big problem cause hillary is wanting his job real bad! i live in michigan and have been laid off and called back to fit the wims of this fiasco going on in the world seven times last year and twice this year. i drive 70 mi to detroit when working , i get treated like a dog because i have to pay chid support 1 more yr. i lost my house after 911 there was no help. please no remarks to this statement other wise i would have to right a very long explanation before i forget that i worked that out of my head and moved on no complaints.washed dishes for 2 nights for 3 years to pay my support my whole check went to support. paid for my own educations 4 times so i am really sick and tired of hearing people say "get a job" even when the talk about sombodyelse! i pray they start a big war with nukes! your machines will only last so long after good people are gone and when the lame bankers and lawyers that are drunk with the blood of the saints realize there cooked and so are their children when the blood no longer quenches your thirst and the good people come back will give you all the water you want but it evaporates before you can drink it! they have the whole of the earth population about ready to start knawing their way out and the super rich will be the targets. so please don't taunt poor or unemployed people cause it might be you, next! i am sick of surviving now and what to "live or die" it matters not. and all to much of the world is there now.there is no government in america today.only mismanagement.(government is management)what about tomorrow? when are they going to get rid of governmental employee unions and their healthcare? o those poor people in goverment having to give up ????????????
