Not sure if this thread already exists, I did a search and didn't find any.

I am posting it with an excerpt just in case. The meeting is supposed to be made from June 8-11 of 2009. It describes who will be in the meeting, and why they are there.

I am also posting this, because they are allowing foreign, and French media to cover the event.

If anyone lives close to this, maybe we could send someone representing ATS, to cover the event, or if any members of ATS living abroad and close to this event are part of the media, they could cover it and report to us what was said, and done.

Here is the info for the media.

Media accreditation

Foreign and Canadian journalists are invited to cover the entire
proceedings of the 15th International Economic Forum of the
Americas/Conference of Montreal. To attend the event, journalists,
photographers and media technical staff must obtain accreditation by
contacting André Bouthillier at 514-732-4114 or 514-895-0127. The full,
detailed program of the International Economic Forum of the
Americas/Conference of Montreal is updated on a regular basis and can be
consulted at any time on the official website at www.conferenceofmontreal.com.

I was in Montreal this weekend. I have not read about this in Montreal newspapers. Montreal is a 3 hours drive from where I live, my parents and family live there so I go about once a month.

If someone gets me a media pass, I will gradly go there and report, but I doubt they will issue those to anyone except mainstream media.

But it will surely cause a few manifestation and riots. I was there in 2001 when the summit of the americas was in Quebec city. I got some very nice pictures and video for a documentary film my brother did about it.

I love the smell of tear gas in the morning.

Since this post just got one response, but i think it is important i am bumping it again, and see if maybe anyone that lives close o this place knows about any protests being set up against the purpose of this meeting.

I also wanted to see if any journalists from ATS are going to be sent to this meeting since it is open to all journalists.
