What is going on with this dude ... he seems very dangerous and un-trustworthy.

He just wants russia to exist, all the world should be thankful that he is here, and keeping the western powers from controling us all, as they are pure scum.

Of course they would love for things to be the old way. The money was way better and people listened to them more.

That's like asking somebody if they would rather be in great shape and rich vs fat and poor.

i'm more interested in what spurred this topic for you as you have very little to go on.

PM Putin... is doing his best to lessen the NATO missiles encircling Russia...
all those former Soviet Republics enjoyed a mere moment of freedom,
as they are now being compelled into the WesternWorlds Military-Economic empire.

but, selling those longer range, up-to-date missiles to Iran, could come back to slap him...
maybe something like the siege at the Russian School by Chechian based terrorists...might be played out in the future by Revolutionary Guards from Iran instead: because further missile assistance never materialized from the Russian Missile Forces

dangerous games by all parties-> Russia/Iran & USA/Georgia

He wants the Soviet Union back, or he wants that opportunity back, but any chances over the years have dramatically decreased. The key satillite states that broke the Soviet Union was Ukraine and the Baltic states. The minute they left the Soviet Unions super power status collapsed. Those states held important resources and geographical access that made the Soviet Union what it was. With the Baltic states part of the EU now and Ukraine slowly but surely facing west, any chances of that to happen is dim.

Mind you the stunt Putin, yes Putin, not Medvedev, pulled off in Georgia was to scare Ukraine in actual fact from looking into any chances of joining Nato or the EU. Though the EU sees too much interest in the Ukraine to allow Russia to take it back into their axis.

Soviet Union reformed? Very unlikely. The core parts are gone.
