I can't say that I am really surprised. I never believed him when he said he would go line by line and take out the unnecessary spending, because they wouldn't know unnecessary spending if it came up and slapped them across the face.

They have no concept of what a budget is or how to stick to it. Until the people demand accountability in force it is not going to change.

I love the Glenn Beck and Fox Network bashing! It's so relevant to the issue that is being discussed in the video. Make the clip an audio file, change his voice pitch or something, then repost it as an anonymous speaker so people might actually disect the content

They laugh in our faces as they are robbing us blind. They add exotic trips and excursions in these earmarks, knowing we will see them and become enraged.

Catching mosquito's in Florida - wow - great way to burn up a billion or so of our slave created hand me down lifelong debt for our children.

They are laughing and robbing us blind. If you don't like it they will up the terror level and stage one of those..well..you know, just to get that fear control going again.

If that doesn't work, they will help Mexico collapse and start crap right next door.

They have our military and foreign military waiting on stand by for their call - and for exactly what they have been training for lately all over rural America - Martial Law.

When we finally get pissed off and rush Washington because we have had enough, we will be rounded up, and eventually terminated with either shots to the head or their wonderful "Soft Kill" drugs and weapons.

They love this game they are playing, they have waited a long time - generations and these so called bloodline bred leaders get to have fun with our lives and no one can even get close to them.

Must be great to be immune at the top!

The chief law enforcement officer their has now resigned, after one of his officers and a prison guard were killed over the last couple days with notes threatening is family and everything... A couple of Scenarios ARE becoming very REAL, not just risks BUT PROBABILITY...
Lets say we go into a prolonged depression, price of oil falls to $5 or $6 dollars a barrel
the gulf states STRAT going under one by one, Saudi Arabia depends on very expensive oil so does IRAN, Irans got a population of 70 million, people start to starve, they're out of money a big army, they move into the gulf and take it, you have a hostile regime in charge of OUR resources --- THAT IS NOT THAT FAR AWAY...

I love Glen Beck and no longer get to watch his show like I used to.

Yeah, this is becoming a scarier place by the day.

I fail to see what there is to get worked up about regarding this stimulus package.

Pork. Earmarks. It doesn't matter what you call these programs, they represent money that will be pumped into the economy.

Everyone wants a piece of the pie and everyone is going to get some.

Is the taxpayer going to pay for it all?

Yes, but the money will be coming back to us in the form of jobs.

I'm not supporting socialism, but the government spends money and with the free market in trouble at this time, spending the people's money to help improve the economic situation doesn't seem like a bad idea.

I don't think that this is a panacea for all our problems, but I don't see it as the end of civilization either.

I like Glenn Beck and his perspective.

I don't think he's a neo-con.

He seems more libertarian to me, but mostly now he sounds like he's pumping up the ratings a little with some histrionics.

Outrage is not always the best emotion in times like these.

Careful observation for future reference the next time we vote for the Senate and House members would be better.

Maybe it's a good thing that Beck gets all worked up, but we can't all afford to get worked up into a frenzy.

I'm sorry, but you are wrong.
First of all, most earmarks are very state specific projects, and unfortunately, the contractors are almost always friends of the congressman or congresswoman that stuck the bill in there. In the worst cases, the contractors are relatives of the congressional rep. Those earmarks DO NOT usually contribute to the public welfare at large.
For instance, would you rather spend 1 million dollars to upgrade an interstate highway, or 1 million dollars to build a road to a senator's summer cabin. Same amount of money, but the first one benefits many Americans, the second one benefits the senator. Why should you or I pay for a semi-private road to nowhere?
Why are we spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to encourage astronomy in Hawaii?(It's in the bill).

Yes, I know that they are state specific, but states are where the people live.

I know that there is corruption in government, but that's not new.

I know that not every earmark is something that I personally would approve of.

I also know that research into sometimes arcane subjects does help the economy, even if it is a small part, and it also helps to further scientific knowledge.

I did not say that the bill is perfect, but it does pump money into the economy.

What concerns me more than the bill itself is the arrogance of congress, the president, and what is to follow.

The stimulus package is flawed, but it is as much as a done deal.

We need to be aware of where it will lead.

The constitution supports all religions. I fail to see what difference this makes.

This is a free country..at least it is supposed to be. People's failure of tolerance is yet another reason why this country is in so much trouble.

It's about personal freedom and rights...not what you think everyone should do or think or believe.

If you find fault in this...then you do not support what this country was founded on.

It shouldn't matter if someone is a christian, mormon, athiest, agnostic, buddhist, muslim, etc. It doesn't matter.

They have that right...and should be allowed to live with their beliefs without persecution.
