Congratulations to them on their many wins tonight, I hope to see more shows and movies that enlighten the world as to their culture and religions, it is a complicated thing if you are on the outside looking in when it comes to living Hindu, but I have learned that they are some of the nicest, kindest, caring people I have ever had the pleasure to meet and get to know.

Wouldn't it make more sense to give props to the Indians involved in the movie?

Here's the list of what Slumdog won:

Best Picture - Slumdog Millionaire: Christian Colson
Best Director - Danny Boyle for Slumdog Millionaire
Best Adapted Screenplay - Slumdog Millionaire: Simon Beaufoy
Best Cinematography - Slumdog Millionaire: Anthony Dod Mantle
Best Editing - Slumdog Millionaire: Chris Dickens
Best Original Score - Slumdog Millionaire: A.R. Rahman
Best Original Song - Slumdog Millionaire: A.R. Rahman, Sampooran Singh Gulzar ("Jai Ho")
Best Sound - Slumdog Millionaire: Ian Tapp, Richard Pryke, Resul Pookutty

The only Indians to get credit are A.R. Rahman, Sampooran Singh and Resul Pookutty.

Not really the best way to Promote Americas love for India is it?

There are many causes that I am prepared to die for but no cause that I am prepared to kill for. — Mahatma Gandhi

Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment. — Mahatma Gandhi

We must become the change we want to see in the world. — Mahatma Gandhi

Hey... I'm not one to disagree

I don't know much about India, or Ghandi for that matter... But it seems like his to teachings were very similar to Jesus.

Anyway... i have respect for almost every country that has culture...

What is American Culture again? (new thread in the making)
