This may be splitting hairs but when I see numbers that are exaggerated It gets my goatexample:

www.johnkerry.com..." target="_blank" class="postlink" rel="nofollow"> www.johnkerry.com...

On John Kerrys website it states

Cut the corporate tax rate by 5 percent. Kerry's proposal will not increase the deficit or corporate taxes by one dime. All of the savings from ending tax breaks will go towards lowering the corporate tax rate from 35 percent today to 33.25 percent - a 5 percent reduction.

35 - 33.25 = 1.75 (over two times less than 5%)

so does 20% equal 10%, 100% equal 50%...etc. When does the exaggeration ever end with the people in Washington?

Well, he is actually right.

33.25/35*100% = 95%

A 5% reduction in taxes:

35 - 35*5% = 33.25
