Small earthquakes in Yellowstone

www.montanasnewsstation.com

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Wyo. (AP) - The University of Utah Seismograph Stations report a swarm of small earthquakes in Yellowstone National Park.

The university says the quakes of magnitude 3.5 and lower have been occurring beneath Yellowstone Lake, five to nine miles south-southeast of Fishing Bridge, a park landmark. The earthquakes that began on Friday and continued on Saturday intensified during the weekend, and there were reports that people in the Yellowstone Lake area felt the quakes.

The University of Utah says they've been in an area of the park where swarms are common.

If it blows in our lifetimes, it could bury the western U.S. under a massive amount of volcanic ash and block sunlight over North America. It would be like the "nuclear winter" concept.
Here's a link showing the earthquake activity in the Yellowstone area (NW Wyoming).

Why you trying to scare people? That's not even the title of the article and there is already a thread about the Yellowstone earthquakes.

Thanks for posting this.

There is already a good thread about yellowstone and these ongoing EQ's, alot of good info there.

The sad part is... we have no idea how bad this would actually be.... The experts can only guess and speculate at this point.

Don't mean to be rude but the title of your linked article is "Small earthquakes in Yellowstone."

I understand that you wish to draw attention to your thread through sensation but it is against the T&C of the Breaking Alternative News forum. Thread titles have to be an exact copy of the cited article.

As far as the topic of your article it is being discussed at considerable depth at the above mentioned links.
