I can see where the parents are coming from, my dad gets on my case all the time for talking religion with him in front of my little brother (because my beliefs a slightly different than his), he doesn't want my little brother being influenced by things this early, and I respect that. But also as an ex-religious studies major, I would have to say it's pretty close minded of the parents as well. If ONLY everyone had a better understanding of other belief systems!

A quote that stands true to me:
"Fights between individuals, as well as governments and nations, invariably result from misunderstandings in the broadest interpretation of this term. Misunderstandings are always caused by the inability of appreciating one another's point of view."
--Nikola Tesla--

I believe that would also apply to religion as well.

These same types are the reason thousands of children are raped and sodomized every year and can't stop it. Who do they tell that the man the townfolk consider the right hand of God is using his right hand too molest them? Go schools, teach children the way things really are.
