Why do so many Americans think that
(A) Guns are the answer to all their survival needs?
(B) All problems are resolved by killing?
(C) Taking other people stuff is the only way to survive?

Just read some of the posts on this thread, while many Europeans, Asians and Australasians accept a need for guns as a part of their kit, most americans appear to put guns and ammo first on their list of priorities, and appear to be seeking conflict with others from day one.

Does anyone else notice the strongly differing approaches to survival, One side looks at caching, stockpiling, forming working relationships with others, planning of developing sustainable communities and being capable of protecting themselves if neccessary via mutual support agreements. The other half ( mainly in the US of H ) appear to seek or desire ever more weapons, appear to want to use conflict rather than cooperation, and think they must be armed to the teeth at all times. We survivalists are paraniod and prepared by our very nature but our American cousins seem to be fixated over guns
