It wouldn't be the first time from a catholic priests corrupted the minds of the young. At least Disney does pay for the actors, and other staff people to work for them, It's called life. What the hell does the Catholics know?

Out of all of the corrupting influences out there, I would have to say that Disney has got to be pretty low on the list. Especially coming from the Catholic church. I can't think of too many kids that have had their lives ruined by a Disney movie, I don't think the same can be said about the Catholic church.

I would hope that in a generation or two that religion will only be found in history books. A relic of more primitive times.

Don't be too sure that Disney and the Vatican do not have any ties...

I believe that Disney's corruptions lie not only in film but on site as well. There is something going on below Disneyland. What I don't know, but it ain't nothin nice.

Do you have any basis for the idea of something nefarious going on under Disneyland or are is it just a hunch? I would be interested to see that theory fleshed out a bit if there is anything to it.

That reminds me of that zombie movie, where those special troops entered in a mansion, then was taken by train then next they was in a underground topsecret lab. (I forgotten the name of the movie)...Is this "underground disneyland" anything like the topsecret lab?

Its only cartoons guys and not some cult materials.

Actually, what lies beneath disney world (Not land) is a network of tunnels that allow the cast to get to any part of the park within 10-15 minutes.

Been there... seen it. It's actually pretty nice.

I reckon it's a Catholic Conspiracy, because Mickey Mouse was a magician in one of their films (at least - no expert), and magicians are witches. Now seeing the Catholic Church can't do their usual and burn Mickey Mouse for being a witch, they try to bankrupt Disney in an egomaniacal move. Watch out for the witch hunt on Mowgli, he talked to animals as his equal, he did not claim dominion........

The only nefarious thing going on at Disneyworld is the 5 dollar sodas.

If you find exceptional planning, ingenious crowd control, and too much damn excitement and fun for a 7 year old nefarious then so be it.

I would also like to add that at their animal kingdom park the animals were the best cared for I have ever seen in captivity. The large, well done, naturally made enclosures, obvious relaxation, and contentedness of the animals was a sight for sore eyes. Not to mention the awesome Indian food!!

Oh, the irony!

It is interesting to note that none of the replies above mine attempted to refute the claims of the clergy that were found in the article in the OP.

As is par for the course on ATS, a post that mentions religion or the clergy seems to be a catalyst for commenting on religion or clergy in general.

Yes, we get it. Many visitors to ATS dislike religion, dislike the clergy and have even more vitriol for the Catholic Church. Thanks for the reiteration. Care to comment on the points made by the clergy now?

Whether you like it or not, Disney does support a culture of rampant commercialism. That is inarguable. They are a corporation. That's what they do. Should that be a concern? I think so. Does that mean that Disney has nothing to offer? Absolutely not. They bring a great deal of joy to countless children (and many adults!) every year.

Should parents and guardians be conscious of the dual messages offered by Disney and aware of what their children are being taught and inculcated with? Absolutely.

Im usualy allergic to all things clergic but I'll have to agree with the religious cleric on that one.

Have you actualy watched High school the musical?
