Not sure how much I personally subscribe to the whole aliens are on the moon thing, but for those of you who make your cases for it I thought this news from Japans space agency would be interesting.

GRAVITY ANOMALY FAR SIDE OF MOON JAXA

When a smaller planed collided with earth a few billion years ago the left over debris coalesced onto what is now the moon. At the time the moon was much closer to earth. As the moon was still forming and was mostly molten rock, the heavier elements were drawn to the near side of the moon by earth's gravitational pull. Hence the gravitational anomalies on the moon itself.

The gravity anomalies have been known about for quite a while. This is not a new discovery but Kaguya has added more detail to observations made on previous missions.

Note that the total range of lunar gravity anomalies (greatest negative to greatest positive) amount to about 1/2% of the mean level of about 1/6th of the Earth's gravity. Enough to disturb the orbits of satellites but not enough to be otherwise noticeable.
