President-Elect Tries To Weed Out Controversial Candidates
Thursday, November 13, 2008 – updated: 6:24 pm EST November 13, 2008

Applicants for President-elect Barack Obama's Cabinet get ready to chronicle your life story.

Those interested in joining Obama's administration have to pass an extensive background test.

.....

Hoping to weed out anyone with ties to companies at the center of the $700 billion bailout, question 18 of the Obama application asks whether “you, your spouse or any member of your immediate family” have been affiliated with Fannie, Freddie, American International Group, Washington Mutual and any other institution getting a government bailout.

Probably not as I have several registered handguns. But... on the other hand I can easily produce a copy of my birth certificate

Ah, dang it.

I was an account holder with Washington Mutual when I lived in Seattle.

I failed.

It is sad when Obama's background check for his employees is far more extensive than the one required for President.

Being an ATS member would probably disqualify me.

I probably can't pass Obama's test, based on at least one question about gun ownership. Why does that make a difference?
But, I doubt Obama would qualify for the security clearance I received when I was in the military.

I think the important thing here too about the quesioning, is can the person truthfully answer the questions? This could be used to determine the type of person you are sort of like a mini personality test! If you cant be truthful and you hide details, it may make you wonder what else your not tellin them about, and what could you really be hiding, and how effectively can you be trusted to work so close with someone in such a position.
