Am I the only one who wants to see Above Politics come back so that all of these ridiculous political threads get off of the front page?

Currently on the "recent posts":

Is there any chance of getting back to the good old days when you actually had to go to the political forum to receive this type of an onslaught?

A guy can hope right?

Actually I thought it was kinda a mistake for them to remove AP before the election. I think that now that the election is over we will see a steady decline in these threads to something a lot more palatable.

I wasn't here in the "good old days", but I agree with you, Karlhungis. I would be very nice to get rid of all those "Why McCain/Bush/Obama/Palin/whoever is an idiot"-threads on the main board.
I am fed up with politics.

AP was not discontinued because of the was discontinued because it didnt have any traffic.

But Im with you: I do hope that all this narrow-minded and immature BS quits making the ATS Frong Page. If it doesnt calm down within a month (it usually does, after elections) we could consider building in an option to put those Forums on "ignore" in our recent-posts list...for example.
