Well, honestly, being the semi-optimist that I am, I am willing to give the man a chance. I just think that those who speak of this man as if he were some kind of a "savior" are very misguided.

Also,it will be interesting to see if he even makes it through his first term. If the mnan is truly good, he probably won't make it. One of the peculiarities of history is that anyone who has ever tried to make change for the good has wound up in a grave yard. It's sad, but true.

I tend to think that people who are suspicious and scared of the hope that Obama inspires are really just wary of being disappointed and have been jaded by the politics of the status quo.

People just have to let that go. Worry never fixes anything.

Just like relationships IRL, you can't be suspicious of your new flame because your ex broke your heart. It will never work out.

I will deny ignorance but never deny FACTS...I have done my homework and then some, all it takes is a little effort to uncover way more than an unsavory findings of all sorts ranging from unsavory friends of racial bigotry to misproper fundings a school issue ACORN, as well as taking a 'WORLD TOUR" at whosever expense it was on, from Israel Germany etc...look up what Iraeli- Jews have to say both from the pro and con. ATS One World Order, because we have done our homework, we are paying attention. How about doing more research then coming back and letting us know how this ISN"T a New World Order barking up the rear, or share with us how you can be Pastored by a minister for twenty years and just now realize the man was racist? Cut me a break, I have my free right NOT to congratulate nor am I bought by this eloquent speech, tear jerking, while Lassie plays in the background. I dont buy it! Even my afro american pastor here at home doesn't buy it. What scares me about the guy is that he is a incredible good orator. Or someone is writing some incredible speeckes for him.I see him able to control the masses only by speech and not by any acts of facts. All presidents mess up sooner or later ...what matters is how much they mess up and i hope he wont mess up like Bush did. He did not only make the Americans love him but a lot of the entire world also...and only by words .

Let me make something abundantly clear. I am anti-Obama. Always have been, awlays will be. I do not believe the man will do us much good, other than make ourselves have higher self-esteem.

However, where I draw the line is that I live in the real world, not a fantasy one.

First off, I distinguish between conspiracies and Conspiracies. Conspiracies with a lower-case "c" so obviously happen. They happen all the time. Conspiracies with a capital "c," however, do not exist and do not happen. Any educated and informed person would know that and any study of history and sociology would reveal the true forces at work.

A Conspiracy (capital c) is the term in the vernacular: a theory in which a small group of individuals and other organizations vie for world domination and even control and shape world events behind the scenes, using an incredible array of power afforded to them. They are unified by a particular ideology, everything that happens, even if it does not seem to benefit them, is part of some grand master plan and forms some sort of deceptive role on their way to achieving their goal of world domination. To understand what I mean when I say there are no Conspiracies, just read the Wikipedia article below:

This is the problem with the conspiratorial view of history, society, and world events. It completely ignores the very elementary dynamics of social interactions, historical events, and boils down all events to a matter of just a few people. Anybody who "does their homework," as all of you say, would find that social change and world events are a result of broader, collective change as opposed to anything one or just a few people do.

Looks like a lot of people need to do that homework.

So it isn't enough that he was elected president, now the Obama-ites want total capitulation and acceptance without complaint from those who didn't support him. He voted in favor of nationalization of corporate debts at the taxpayer's expense... that alone makes him an NWO clown. New World Order has been termed by former presidents back to Reagan through G President Bush, been seen on the www.whitehouse.gov... webpage been seen on the UN main webpage as well as a major catch all cliche for most politicians, so we could say, New World Order according to whose terms? All has used this term loosely as well as was in President Elect Obama's speech. " New World, New World order....man so I would be thrilled to see this in application of USA however, not when one is being spotted globetrotting around the world, fix things in US first then spread on outward? Get the fire out at home first before it spreads to the neighbors? One would have had to keep the ears shut not to hear this loose term. So why the term used at all?
1. So we all can sing this beautiful unity song with a glow on our faces while singing we can make a change? 2. Just because it sounds good? 3. Its all about the $$$$$$$$ Always about the $$$$$$$ and hidden agendas!

I have nothing against your views at all. I would like to respectably point out that if you are going to follow the movie "Fight Club", then how can you believe that world can't survive without government. That was the point of the entire movie, that and the guy was completely insane. What the movie was meant to portray is how depressing our lives are and how we are all slaves to the control of government, religion and money.

Fight Club was a headless organization that completely operated without any supervision or "control", no government. There was only an icon, Tyler Durden. The next step was to free the rest of the country, hence the end of the movie where all debt was set to $0.00 so they could start all over with everyone making decisions for themselves and operating independently by their own free will. This is true freedom not the bull# nightmare taht we are living everyday. Sure I am free to go to the beach and hang out with friends all day. Unfortunately, that would create a lot of spending guilt and create a ton of stress due to the fact that I would have to pay for gas to get to the beach, buy food to eat, pay a park fee, and when all is said and done I will be thinking about how I have to go back to my # job the next day.

We need a new civilization. We are in the new millennium and about to enter the age of Aquarius. It is time to evolve to a resource based civilization that has none of the bull#!!! It is time to become human again!!!

I'm glad you brought up fight club,I don't follow the the terrorist principles advocated in the movie ,but I do understand how such movements can come to be seen as the only way out of our failures as a civilization ,and I empathize with Tyler Durdens, disillusionment to the point,that it causes a fragmentation of his identity. I really quote 'Fight Club' as a warning to power ,you can only kick a dog so long before it turns and bites you,Heaven you if by then the dog has been driven crazy as well .
