It looks fake to me, but I don't know for sure.

My guess?
No one else seems to be paying attention to the really big fricken' bat on the power line.
Let's see here... what was a recent holiday that would have possibly featured large stuffed bats as a theme...

Edit: Checked the date. Nevermind, it's from back in February of '07.
Still it's odd how the only person who seems interested is the guy with the camera.

I am just guessing if this is a mythical creature that resembles a Western vampire, in being an evil, human-devouring monster or witch, and it was finally seen... there would be a heck of a lot more hullabahloo than one guy with a video camera. I say fake.

Okay reality check. It's a stuffed bat with plastic wings.

Look at the video closely.

Im not claiming to be an expert but isnt that just a fruit bat (or flying fox)?
I think they are quite big too

Fruit bats are nocturnal, and hang from their feet during the day. They may hang with their wings wrapped around their bodies, or, if it is hot, may use their wings to fan themselves. Although fruit bats are good at flying, landing is another story! Fruit bats can't land gracefully, and instead must crash into bushes or trees to come to a stop, or try to latch onto a branch as they pass by. Sometimes these crash-landings disturb other fruit bats at the site, and cause noisy fights amongst them

The Head just looks so round and fake. The wings do not look like normal bat wings, they are shiny and, well just look like bin bags.

I call a fake on this one, if it was real we would have heard something about it by now, or there would at least be more videos and pictures.

Update- The person who posted the video added text at the end saying that it is fake, it was made from a scarecrow and other props, and not to email him anymore.
