Once the internet is doomed (as if it isnt already), where to next?

There will be a time in the not so distant future when the internet will no longer be a place of free speach and free flowing ideas. the "improvments" on the internet (internet 2) will only be a means to further control our thoughts and voice. so, where do we go? can we break out old modems and operate similarly to old bbs? would that be picked up on to easily? what about hamm radio? mirc? usenet (used to be the way to go... nobody uses it now)... where to?

Well I guess we would have to learn how to
communicate in code. So they couldn't tell
what we would be speaking about.
But then again they would
eventually find out.
