Curtis Jessop wouldn't fess up,
About a crime he had committed.
They had him tried, said he lied,
But the facts had him aquitted.
The following year it would appear,
The case came forth again.
A last resort in a higher court,
That Jessop was to blame.
They could not find a fact to bind,
Jessop at the scene.
Not a word was said as the jury read,
Not guilty it would seem.
Later that night, in such delight,
Jessop did admit.
To a close friend, he did contend,
The crime he did commit.
