I just thought it was some random 'digital fingerprint' he pulled from some program or something not an actual message, like cryptographic hash lines or whatever.

Well if I found an envelope with $$ in it for someone considered to be either less or more fortunate it's obvious the "fortune" should go to someone who NEEDS it. That wouldn't be me or most of us for that matter for we are already fortunate in ways that we may consider someone else to be "less" fortunate making them "fortunate".

So, I'd pass it along the same way I found it. It's not for me to decide who is "less fortunate" all I know is is that it's not me.
