Yes I have. And nothwithstanding the fact that sources are divided on whether waterboarding is torture, the fact that we have used it on 3 terrorists including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed does not constitute the US being "a nation that openly tortures".

1 - The 'divided sources' are BushCo on one hand and the entire civilized world on the other. Waterboarding is torture, and has been recognized as such since the Inquisition. And waterboarding is just the one, easy example. I don't have the time or inclination to dig through all the rest of it.

2 - Bush has no credibility. He also said said there was no eavesdropping on US citizens, and now we find out there was exactly that, and he also said the US economy was strong.

Face it. The US has become a nation that openly tortures people.

So you acknowldege that the US does in fact imprison people indefinitely with no charge. Add Padilla to the example list.

I sincerely hope so. I must say it does not look terribly likely, even if Obama is elected. Absolutely will not happen if McCain is elected.
