I just heard that on Air America. This is the first time that I've heard this on a mainstream media news source.

They're talking about Directive 51... they're saying that George W Bush could take control of our country and declare martial law.

Directive 51 gives the President complete power of the nation under martial law.

Ok... this is scary...

Why is the government even thinking about martial law? I thought that was only something that was in fake conspiracy theories!

What's with all of this fear-mongering?

I thought Pelosi just put congress under a congressional martial law untill it was resolved.....hence pretty much FORCING them to pass 'something' so that they could leave the designated parameters of said martial law....

Am I wrong here
was it indeed nation wide martial law

Congress was under "congressional martial law". Congress was threatened with military martial law if the bill didn't pass. This is what Brad Sherman was talking about, when he mentioned martial law congress was already under it.
