Alright, seriously.

I consider myself to be somewhat educated and I like to research the current events taking place around the world to stay abreast of things and I check CNN and FOX and some other news sources and I have to ask a question. Completely putting all political views aside... what immature bunch of people have they got working at FOX news?!?!? I mean come on. I'm looking for stuff about.. oh, I don't know... Iran - Nuclear Weapons.. North Korea and instead - under the "Current News" I see topics like these:

1) Boyfriend of Kansas woman stuck to toilet wins lottery
2) Voodoo Witch: Angry Politician Wrote Me Bad Checks
3) Skinny Dipping at the Imperial Palace

and my FAVORITE ONE.....

Palin Not Welcome
Kicking off 'Sticky and Sweet' tour, Madonna says 'Palin can't come to my show'

WHO THE F*** CARES?!?!?! - The only way that statement has any weight is because MSM picked it up and posted all over their headlines. If no news sources even ran that story - it would just be some pissy little rock star making a statement her fans don't even want to hear about - they just want music, not her political views.

Come on!!!! This is the same crap they were doing back when that porn star died --- Anna Smith. I swear for like two months straight all I heard on XM Fox was this stupid investigation/trial about a PORN star. Does FOX report on anything anyone cares about?

Sure - I see the other articles on there - about murders and what not, and for their credit - I do tend to get some good news stories, but come on - for the past four months or so it has just been the same type of crap over and over again.

Where does the line get drawn between what 'news' should be what 'news' is? Should the entire online community/world know is Grandma Tikitiki's cat got ran over by a steamroller in a small rural town in North Dakota - and going one step further - how did that get on the news?

I don't know - sorry for tying up your time with my rant about the news, but I've lost faith in MSM, especially after going to Iraq twice and seeing the CRAP these people put on their sites/channels.

Feel free to comment or add your own input - I'm up for discussion.

I understand completely. One thing of note though; I live in Kansas and the guy who won the lottery, well he left his girlfriend on a toilet for two years. They had to take the toilet with her to the hospital because it had grown to her hiney or vice versa. He was charged with abuse but beat the rap only to end up winning the lottery TWICE. I'd say that's news.

Wow. That's really sad. She was on a toilet for TWO years and no one thought to check to see if something was wrong... family.... friends... ??? The boyfriend?? How do you sit on a toilet for two years? Was she like one of those 300 pound people you see in the record books?

Wow, I know how it feels after one of those 10-15 minute marathons, but two years? Ouch.... I'm guessing he probably didn't get much play, maybe that's why he dumped her.. no pun intended!

hahahaha

She was a thin woman, she had a bit of mental instability, but nothing major. One day she just got a phobia of leaving the bathroom. So she stayed in there. The boyfriend would bring her food and water, but she refused to leave. They charged him with abuse after she had been in there for two years because he never thought to call for medical help sooner. Sad story. Now the fool wins the lottery twice.

I agree completely.

GOne are the days when the media actually cared about what was going on in the worlf. We have become a nation that has come up with a sad pathetic routine of: go to work at a 9-5 job we hate, come home, plop on the couch to watch judge judy or oprah, then a movie, while eating junk food, then cursing life and all the forces above for our sad lives.

And this is what the media panders to.

It is time for a change
