NEW YORK (Oct. 2) - A police lieutenant committed suicide Thursday, days after he ordered another officer to fire a stun gun at a naked, distraught man who then fell to his death, police said.

It looks like some LEO's do have extreme remorse over bad decisions. I feel sad for his family. Prayers for those involved here. Its a no win situation for sure now! Maybe the NYPD will give their men more training and guidance in the use of tazers now!They realy do need to reconsider this weapons use on certain people!

The officer didn't have to commit suicide, he could have lived to taze another day.

Show a little bit or respect

He made an error in judgement and was obviously upset that his actions caused a death. At least he showed a bit of remorse and its unfortunate that he was depressed enough to take his own life

Hopefully this will resonate within the departments and changes will be made.
