Magnificent re-entry

As you all know ATV was destroyed on re-entry over the pacific yesterday. And team of scientists on a DC-8 aircraft managed to take some pictures of the burning space craft, and it is online at the ESA website, and the image is amazing, especially the pyrotechnics surrounding the space craft and the colours created by it.

never seen a reentry on film, let alone one that was was menat to break up .. makes me wish i had a house in teh pacific.

Actaully it was great on ESA's part to post the re-entry video online, glad that you enjoyed it.
