Are we creating MEGA TBTF companies?

With all this financials institutions going belly up and others buying others and merging, I see that many assets are going to be hold by few institutions.

This current crisis and the bailouts were spur by companies that were going belly up but were deemed to be TO BIG TO FAIL.

So, how better our economy is going to come out of this if there is going to be even fewer institutions holding the majority of assets?
