MOSCOW -- Russia could point missiles at strategic US targets in central Europe, including planned American missile shield sites in Poland and the Czech Republic, a senior Russian general said Wednesday.

I can't believe that we are again in the brink of another possible arms race. The horror of nuclear holocaust as we know it during the cold war is still fesh in my mind.

After all the fuzz with terrorism etc. it seems that there are really far more serious threat after all.

Is it safe to say that it is now being slowly revived?
