A couple weeks ago, just about all mods changed thier avatars to "Remeber 9-11"

Why?

Who is orcristrating this?

Whats the purpose of it?

Im just curious...

Where did this idea orignate from?
And what is its intended purpose?
Is it just for the 7 year aniversity of 9/11?
Are we supposed to think the 'Hate-America' Wing of the Mods TRULY cares about what happen?

Nothing more that a show of respect for the people who perished on 9/11 and there familys,

No mod has to change theres, Just some of us felt it was a way to show our respect of the fallen that day,

Others may choose to do it in there own ways,

No more than that

As asala has said it's just something that was brought up and some of us thought it was a good idea that's all.

By the way there is no hate America wing of the mods, why you took a cheap shot at us and expect an answer leaves me shaking my head.

Bad form

Respect for the innocently killed, nothing political or conspiratorial in the images...just a sign of respect.

I still think Asala's is scarry.

I can appreciate the remembrance. Even tho the circumstances of 911 were suspect, real people, real innocent people died that day.

As it has been said, nothing more than a sign of respect.

And this isn't a "staff only" thing. This avatar has been around for a few years I believe and each year there have been plenty of members who have supported it.

Hm...about supporting more investigations and fact-finding for the souls lost that day instead of glorifying a singular date?

I believe the dead/lost deserve more than an avatar.

THanks for the replys.

I like the avatar.

With all the wacked-out posters here, its refreshing to see something like that...

I just noticed it, and thought it was intresting...
MOST mods have it, along with some sort of picture that represents them...

Bodrul, i haven't seen any members with this styled avatar, but ive only been on ATS for about 30 mins the past 2 weeks...

You have been here almost as long as I have been and every year, the staff has done something to remember the victems of 911. Nothing much more to it than showing a bit of respect to those lost in the form of an avatar.
