Thats nothing at all it sometimes happens with images, it occurs when the image loads fast but not fast enough for the program to adjust the focus and clarity of the image, just wait a few minutes and that blur effect will dissapear.

I think that the area actually is blurred, because the distorted part follows the outline of the airport and not just a square that happens to contain the airport...interesting find.

No look closely and you will see that the runway is also blurred.

Quite possible then could you explain why the airport is blurred, that is a public place and it is visited by millions of people and if there was any conspiracy that would have been brought under the notice of ats long ago.

No, no you are not understanding my point, I said that if there was something strange there then the visitors to the airport would have noticed that and there would have been a world wide debate and also a debate on ats.It would have been days or months since the satellite images had been taken and atleast one visitor would have noticed the anomaly and spread it to the media.

You should try going to the site a couple times to rule out a the first posters suggestion, but I've been hearing that a number of wealthy individuals and large organizations have been thinking twice about this "see us in perfect clarity from space" idea. WE might agree that you really can't get all that much info from even the best Google Earth image, but Google has been sensitive to it (or maybe they been sued, I forget) and they are probably overly-ready to comply with anything like a security request from an airport. It might be silly but it only means their head of security knew who to write a letter to, not that they are up to something.

There are a couple different aerial image services out there-- Mapquest, terraserver, etc. You should see if one of them failed to pixelate it.

I do understand, but it's clearly been blurred for a reason!

None of the others have been blurred so why this one.

I went to this country not long ago

and it seemed so corrupt then, with mysterious pyramid buildings

and illuminati signs graffiti on the walls!

What program are you using to view? Perhaps whatever it is doesn't have detailed photos of that area. I'm looking at the same airport in google earth, and it's very clear. No pixilizing or blurring.

Because the airport asked Microsoft to blur the image out?

Althgouh that bluring is not enough to hide very much about the general idea of the layout, especially if you can just view it on Google Earth.
