Video dated July 29, 2008, filmed in I believe Stirling, Scotland.

quote from video maker.

Nuclear Convoy Sneaks past late at night with 100 police armored cars vans fire engine among other things.
Military Police and Marines escorting UK Trident nuclear weapons. These WMD's are regularly on the move between Burghfield (Aldermaston) in England, and Coulport near Faslane in Scotland. Each truck carries 2 Trident nuclear warheads, and each warhead is eight times more powerful than the atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima.

Good going for the guy to film this, just interesting to see how many people are involved in the convoy. Looks like bus loads of soldiers bring up the rear

how do they know it was a nuke convoy?

they transport these things quite frequently and usually during the day time - so its quite strange to see one so late at night , unless they suddenly decide they might actually need them

Just the route that the convoy takes means that the journey is covered in day and night-time before reaching RNAD Coulport late in the evening due to the travelling time being so long.

Alongside the Civil Nuclear Constabulary, Royal Marines and other branches of the MOD escorting them.

Thanks for the link, it states they travel non stop, assuming the time in the video is correct, even if the convoy left at lunchtime, 12 hours to get to that point is ages. I could understand leaving late evening, you would get clear roads, but at that time its plain daft.

The Military and the Police do not work nine till five jobs. They are 24hrs a day, 7 days a week covering all hours God sends.

They move when they see fit. One thing though is that people bitch and moan they go by road, but if they went by air they would howl the roof of their monkey pens down. the gov cannot win with this type of moaner.

Interesting to see, but not much "sneaking" involved if you ask me.

Lol its hard to "sneak" one of these convoys by...anti-nuclear demonstrators keep an eye on the source of these convoys with the aim of following them / disrupting them where possible.
The reason they mostly travel at night is due to the disruption they cause road wise in blocking off roundabouts etc to allow the convoys to pass...

How strange - a so called 'nuclear warhead convoy' moving at night.

No evidence of warheads and the containers do not look like the 'ones used in road or rail transport'.

Could this be a bluff? Not the first time the Government/MOD have bluffed CND and the rest of the country, is it? Greenham Common and Molesworth spring to mind.

I'm sure that if 'Pandora', 'Rainbow' or the other well known Greenham Common watcher [who's name escapes me] were there, they would be able to spot if it was a fake.

I wonder which route they took, Newbury or Reading to get on to the M4?

Incidentally, I'm sure that filming said convoy is akin to espionage. No doubt 'they' had several spies in the skies, filming the filmers so to speak......................................................

As for posting it on YouTube...........................please could we have a tripod mounted camera next time?

I didnt film it, and I dont think the guy uses this board, are you here ufosbri?

Interesting about the vehicles not looking like some in other pics. Perhaps this was something else sensitive been moved by road. EDIT Some look like the ones in daylight photos some vehicles look different.

Check this guys other videos too, lots of good ufo's, a black triangle and good black helicopter footage.

i forwarded a copy of the video to nukewatch so we shall see what they say about it. Someone else must of seen the convoy.

These things are also transported to a underground facility in an old air force camp at a place called Ouston near Newcastle. Sometimes they hold about in the facility during the day then re-commence their journey over the border and into Scotland in the darkness. This i have mentioned before on ATS a few times over the years. I used to be based at this camp and seen this quite regular. It really was a sight and a hell of a convoy and there were plenty of protesters at the gate all the time

So that was a trident convoy

Trident missiles are carried by fourteen active US Navy Ohio class submarines and, with British warheads, four Royal Navy Vanguard class submarines

so the odds are those things were for a US sub?
I hope we don't see them flying east.......

And that was 18days ago, is that enough time go load a sub up and get it into position? Considering the Russian threats and the current situation looks like someone got their nukes just before this Georgian thing kicked off. Or am I reading too much into all this?

Yes your reading too much into it...US Subs dont need to come to the UK to load up with missiles or torpedos..they have very good facilities at Kings Bay, Georgia on the east coast and Bangor, Washington on the west.
And to top it off there were no US submarines at either Faslane (which does host visits) and Coulport (not aware of any sub other than RN which has used this facility).

Why would an Ohio find itself deployed and without weapons in the first place? As has been pointed out by another poster, a Ohio class SSBN would have been loaded at King's Bay or Bangor before deployment. No reason to handle weapons in the UK. The real question is, where are the Ohio class SSGN's?

DA Notice 02 gives guidance to editors about publishing information about British nuclear weapons, as follows ...

It is requested that disclosure or publication of highly classified information about nuclear and non-nuclear defence equipment or equipment used to counter threats of terrorist attacks of the kind listed below should not be made without first seeking advice:

(a) nuclear weapons, highly classified information on:

1. the detailed design of nuclear weapons and the technologies for producing them;
2. operational details;
3. detailed security arrangements for the storage, transport and development of nuclear weapons and associated fissile materials;

DA Notice Committee

Jist of that is if you publish details of a convoys movements in advance you're likely to be royally kebbabed. Film it driving down your street & post it on youtube after the event and, mm, think you'll only get a visit by Special Branch & your name put on a list

Nah, you won't get kebabbed (royally or otherwise).

A Defence Advisory Notice is just that - its advisory. It has no power to demand compliance and its only used on the media - the only come-back is that the Government will withdraw all future assistance from any newspaper/TV company who ignores the DA Notice and goes ahead and publishes.

Although if you do film it and post it on YouTube, then there is a very small chance of a quite painless visit by your local Special Branch. This happened to me in the late 1980's, after I took some pics of the surface works at the now famous (but then TOP SECRET) UK Central Government wartime HQ at Corsham, North Wiltshire (aka the BURLINGTON bunker).

The SB came round, had a pleasant chat and returned my pics. Never heard another peep out of them.

To be fair these happen quite regular. As said they are done at night to allow for traffic and demonstrators.

How many times do you think people have fallen for 'Motorway closed' and 'Emergency Road Repairs', which sections of Motorway amazingly re-open (after the covoys pass) without any sign of roadworks/cones.

They go on their merry dance from Aldermaston to RNS Coulport where they are loaded onto the Trident boats, but do stop off as said at Oulton for re-fueling crew changing etc
