I would ask them if I can come along for a ride. All other questions are pointless, because their point of view is from their society.
Philosophical questions may have interesting points, but are unfulfilling in the real world. Questions about technology would prove pointless in a
one on one contact scenario, unless you are an expert in that field and can understand what they're saying and use it.
Aside from that, they may also have some sort of "Prime Directive", a la Star Trek, which wouldn't allow them to interfere in our society more than
they've already done. I am assuming the encounter with the alien in question is accidental.
Going for a ride and abandoning earth would be the thing that would have the most results. You get to experience all your questions first hand, and
if the aliens have any sort of Prime Directive, it avoids contaminating your world further than they've already done because they were found out by
you. You'd have to make peace with the fact that you won't see your family, friends, and possibly the planet Earth ever again. At least not until
they reach the point that whole planet explicitly knows of the existence of other intelligent species from other planets.
