Female 'terror' scientist Aafia Siddiqui facing US court after extradition

An American-educated female neuroscientist has been extradited from Pakistan to the United States and is due in court in New York today to face terrorism charges.

The case of Aafia Siddiqui, 36, has caused an outcry in Pakistan amid sharply differing accounts of events.

US prosecutors say that Ms Siddiqui is a suspected al-Qaeda terrorist - near the top of the FBI's most wanted list of fugitive terror suspects - who was detained in Afghanistan three weeks ago, carrying documents about how to make explosives and details of various US landmarks.

This woman dropped out of sight about 5 years ago, and was supposedly captured in Afghanistan. Her family alleges that she has been in a secret prison, being tortured.

She has some pretty compelling evidence against her, and faces 40 years in prison if found guilty.

This is another example of the increased use of females to commit terror by al Qaeda. Next they will be using children to carry out their dirty work.

If they had evidence against her, they would not have held her for five years as a prisoner and they would've claimed a "victory" in the war on terror long ago, complete with kangaroo court media show trial. If you support war you support rape, torture and murder - plain and simple folks. There are no good wars. Sometimes revolutions are necessary but wars are always rotten. If you support this "war on terror" perhaps you weren't along for the ride to see the effects of US bombing, old people, men, women and children blown apart, homes destroyed. 500 pound bombs, 1600 pound bombs, even 2000 pound bombs have been used in this "war". White phosphorous, and incendiary napalm-type explosives have been used on whole cities. The US slaughtered so many people in Fallujah you could smell the rotting corpses through the rubble through the whole city. How do you people feel about having your sons and daughters go there and be made a part of this sickness they call a "war".
