New Alien pic from South Wales

I have to say, I feel pretty dubious about this story for a couple of reasons, the main one being why was a gardner carrying a camera round with him? Anyway here it is see what you think!

I'm guessing that maybe someone is just trying to get there 5 mins of fame by jumping on the current UK ufo craze but I could be wrong.

Well at least its smiling. I would agree with the other poster that this is obviously an attempt of that gardener to jump on the alien/ufo bandwagon that has been flooding the UK over the last few months.

Would it be wrong to say it looks to human? I agree though it does look like a fake, but then I am not a photo guru.

So.....Thanks for posting a dubious and obviously fake story? How fast can we move this thread to Skunkworks?

It's not an alien it's just a local going for a walk, that's what Welsh people look like.

I did say I felt as far as I remember, let me check hmmm yep I did!

So I didn't think there was anything wrong with getting other peoples opinions on the photo thats why were here after all!

I took a look at the small photo located on the source website
(a welsh newspaper) and to the eye, even THAT small size photo
screams CGI to me!

BUT

A LARGE photo that is RESIZED or RESAMPLED to a lower-resolution can
introduce pixel sampling artifacts that can make an otherwise "Real" photo
LOOK FAKE, so I'll have to reserve judgement until I see the full-size
ORIGINAL photo!

The biggest problem with rendering in CGI is that UNLESS you're using
your OWN render algorithms, the fakers will be caught by MATH !!!
i.e. Square root, Square and Inverse squared falloff on edges,
Phong shading effects, smart ray-trace artifacts and the KNOWN
render signatures of 3D render programs such as
Mental Ray (i.e. SoftImage), Maya, Lightwave, Real-Viz, Autodesk,
TrueSpace3D and the other high-end 3D and rendering programs

I only know of ONE COMPANY that has a literal army of math
experts and 3D render experts who have the ABILITY to create
and use 2D & 3D rendering algorithms of their OWN DESIGN that
could CONVINCINGLY fool even the experts!

and that company is......

ILM - Industrial Light & Magic Now stationed at the Presidio
in San Francisco

which is also a division of LucasFilm and really the ONLY company
OR AGENCY that has the expertise to fool EVERYONE in Video or still photos.

NOT EVEN the NRO/DARPA/NSA has the expertise these guys at ILM have.

And sorry Pixar and Digital Domain guys & gals!
YOU DON'T YET have that FAKE REALITY down
like ILM has...your stuff still looks like Cell-Animation.

Hire more mathematicians, physicists and optical experts
because until you have as MANY as ILM does, your animation
will still be many equations away from reality!

So again, I think fake UNTIL I see a large size photo
JPEG, BMP, TGA, TIFF, PSD, CPT, PNG or other full colour
24-bit RGB multi-megapixel photo

I already did that and all I got was a pop-up saying its Michael Jackson after he was abducted and genetically re-engineered for new looks and then released back into the wild.

Thats pretty much the worst fake I have ever seen.... it's like they are stepping it up to match the "peeping tom"
