MEMBERS of internet collective Anonymous have been blamed for an attack on an epilepsy website, aiming to provoke seizures in victims with flashing images.

"Users of this site did not actually attack those individuals. The Church of Scientology posted numerous threads across many (websites), and then informed people that Anonymous had been attacking victims of epilepsy," the letter said.

Why, I wonder, would Anonymous choose to perpetrate such a nasty and hurtful prank after the raising of their image recently?

I think this group have come some way from their existence as "griefers" to actually having a manifesto that is trying to benefit people.

I would not put Scientology beyond commiting this kind of stunt in an effort to quash the rising flood of support for those that call themselves "Anonymous."

It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
