There are a lot of conspiracy theories that portray the United States government as an evil, misleading and secretive group whose only goal is to destroy or enslave the American people and keep the truth from them. It seems to me that most conspiracies are probably dreamt up by those people or governments who want to take away some of the power of the United State. Its the only option they have because they cant compete with the US on the battlefield.

What do you think?

I think this is probably untrue, simply because most of the conspiracy theories are made up from Americans.

...very good point...

...but, once again I think the norm is to call it all 'jealousy'...

Im not convinced thats true.

We are all influenced by what we see and hear, TV, newspapers and the internet. I think it would be difficult to prove that most conspiracies come from come from the minds of Americans alone. Americans are human and can be lead to think their government as actually bad for them by groups that want to gain their support.

I often wonder just how free and open to informational exchange the internet is. I can see it's more open than most any other public forum, but still I have occasional doubts about it. We've all read news stories about how China censors internet content for its citizens. How can we be certain our governments don't do the same? What if the pornography, gambling, trading of copyrighted materials, and whatnot is actually tacitly supported to create the impression of a wild frontier of information, but which is in fact carefully monitored and used for intelligence collection.

The theme is addressed in more detail here:

Some countries dont allow their citizens to access the internet because they cant control the information they view. The only ones who have access in some cases are top officials and scientist in that party. So I dont think its possible to limit or put restrictions on the type of information on the internet. This is a quote from the website you provided: Today we have a global network with 30 million users. No one is in control, and no one can pull the plug. If one telecommunications company decided to shut off the segment of the Net that they administer, other companies could simply route their traffic around them.

what if it were a joint program amongst the following groups: socialists, globalists and America's enemies along with those lusting for power.

lately I see life this way: if media says someone is bad, I think they are okay.

if media says someone is okay, then I know they are no good.

mind you depends on the media source.

Yes, as the saying goes "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".
