Just noticed this as I checked out drudgereport.com

since I hate MSNBC because it is too leftwing, I have to wonder what these changes will bring? Will be interesting to say the least.

There is no story on this yet that I know of, but a comment at the drudgereport website, so this could be a scoop of sorts?

I sure hope that these changes bring MSNBC at least into the middle ground.

Still no story, this is what it says:
Big shake-up at MSNBC. Erik Sorenson out. Rick Kaplan in -- at top, say sources. Developing...

Not sure who Erik or Rick are, I don't watch the news, too depressing.

Crayon,

true enough, we could all use more positive news.

I hope that MSNBC at least shifts a bit right, I haven't been impressed with the lack of balance they use in presenting the news and commentary on social issues.

some say that NBC in general is going to have problems due to losing some top ranked shows and having nothing to replace them with.

You got to take some chances if you want to win.

Kaplan used to be head of CNN in the US, but was ousted because he did not bring in the viewers with top stories.

Kaplan's ousting at CNN

What has changed? Can he do better at MSNBC?
