The royal familys real German name before they changed for some reason.


They changed their name if I remember correctly because they didn't want to be associated with the atrocities committed by their ancestors in the first world war.

HMS Queen Elizabeth is named after the first Queen of that name. She was a Tudor. HMS Prince of Wales (the second ship of the class) is named after the title, and is given to the heir apparent.
