Roswell NM Sighting 16JUN52
This is a report on the sighting of 5-7 grey objects in a half moon formation flying over the skies of Walker AFB in Roswell, New Mexico on 16JUN52.

Document date: 1952-06-16
Department: HQ 47TH Air Division Walker AFB Roswell NM
Author: Various
Document type: Report
pages: 11

Archivist's Notes: A few pages are difficult to read, but you can extract the information needed from the remaining pages. No reported air traffic in the area at the time and the witness was deemed very credible by those who investigated the sighting. There was no determination listed in the file that I could see.

Seams like I'm becoming the 'mentor' of NM sightings and honestly I'm starting to like it

This document deals with the sighting of few objects flying relatively low, 5000 feet from the point of observation and in a half moon formation (which reminds a lot Kenneth Arnold's sighting), bright in color and with a speed approximately 500-600 mph.

Is reported that in total the objects might have been five or six. At first this objects seamed to be the outline of an aircraft but after an instant the outline broke and divided in 5-6 objects with a grayish hue and disc shaped structure.
Sighting took place over the skies of Walker AFB in Jun 16 1952 at 20.30 o'clock. The witness, Sgt Sparks is considered to be a very credible observer due to his expertise as an B-29 Maintenance Specialist with seven years of service in the USAF and also his previous experience as aircraft maintenance specialist in civilian life.

The sighting can't be explained and from the document is clear that has been ruled out the possibility of a weather or meteorological phenomena. Also to be noted is the fact that there was no aerial activity in the area at the time when the sighting occurred.

The whole sighting lasted about 1 minute.

A solid report by what was considered a reliable witness. Not remarkable in any unusual way, just objects passing overhead with no sound. The speed and the gray color is highly suggestive of manufactured objects of some sort.

What is noteworthy to me is the fact that these objects were first thought to be one large object. This is very much like the reports we hear about in this day and age, where it is hard to determine the real shape.

There is the possibility, at least to me, that these UFOs can join and separate in flight. Such an ability would go a long ways towards explaining some of the historical sightings as well as modern ones.

As a side note more speculative in nature, it seems unlikely that these objects were/are man made. At the time of the Korean Conflict and throughout the cold war, it seems illogical that such craft would not have been deployed at some point. Considering that modern reports are of craft that remain very similar, this would mean, were they man made, that a secret craft of enormous capabilities was kept from use for six decades. Highly unlikely.

Were you aware of the fact that New Mexico is the only state that has its own file in the Project Bluebook files. It is my prayer that ATS will put up the New Mexico Files soon as they have a lot of questions left unanswered.

God Bless

Yes it would be highly unlikely, but a good way to keep secrets of that which we do not know. We gether as much as we can From these objects and reports and then we attempt to back engineer them. But one must remember that we can only back engineer to the degree of our understanding and knowledge of the principles of the technology involved. When it comes to technologies that are way ahead of our understandings, it becomes much harder to back engineer that technology.

God Bless
