Hold up people! This poll is NULL & VOID! Look at what Mudshark and myself discovered when we looked at the list... This isn't about the youth of today lol this is about well... other idiots! 2 of the 'characters' on this poll are REAL, the people testing the knowledge of the British public FAILED in their own knowledge. But then I suppose they are also a part of the British public *sigh* it's a loose loose situation

Even more stupid than the answers to the poll is the poll itself.

uktv.co.uk...

Top ten fictional characters that the British public thinks are real

* 1) King Arthur – 65%
* 2) Sherlock Holmes – 58%
* 3) Robin Hood – 51%
* 4) Eleanor Rigby – 47%
* 5) Mona Lisa -35%
* 6) Dick Turpin – 34%
* 7) Biggles – 33%
* 8) The Three Musketeers – 17%
* 9) Lady Godiva – 12%
* 10) Robinson Crusoe – 5%

Since when were Dick Turpin and Lady Godiva fictional characters?

Their exploits might have been exaggerated but they were most certainly not fictional.

Facepalm huh?
