Just put what you want in between what I showed you...

Here this is a big help as well...

BB Code

When you do what I showed you, you get this...

i dont want....the entire

Just the part you put in between [ quote] and [/ quote] (Remember without the spaces)

Easy

To expand on semperfortis' response - do not click 'quote' in the upper right corner. It will quote the entire post. You will have to manually copy the section you'd like to quote and paste it between the quote /quote brackets.

[ quote ] Your quote here [ /quote ] (again, without the spaces)

What I do is use the quote button up on the right of the post I am quoting, then high lite everything I don't want and delete it leaving just what I wanted to quote.

Yes, click reply and paste their quote between the quote brackets. You can also choose to click the gold quote button which appears after clicking reply. It will prompt you to enter the text you'd like to quote.

I usually do what Sauron suggested, but sometimes it's difficult to sift through long posts to find that one sentence you'd like to quote.

Remember, your response will be included in the quote if you type before the /quote. Be sure to make your contribution after the /quote.

[ quote ] Quote [ /quote ]

Enter your response here.
