A couple things I've recently found out that make me a bit nervous. Check them out:

news.com.com...

news.com.com...

Fortunately, I don't use either but it does beg the question; what else in our everyday lives are collecting info on us and more importantly, why?

I coulda told you that. I was never too much worried about TiVo, other than the fact that they know what you're watching. But OnStar, how they gloat in their ad that they can track a stolen car, has always had me worried. Just because it isn't stolen, doesn't mean they can't track you. And bull-sht, the government will track you if they think you are a serious threat to the country, regardless of some ruling.

It's like those save-cards at stores like BI-Lo and Harris Teeter. Their main purpose is to build customer loyalty, and track what you've been buying, so they know what's popular.

OnStar. TiVo. What's next? Is the CIA gonna be tracking me through my Lo-Jack unit I have installed?
